Obviously, this girl is crazy.
The Holy Cow Project’s goal is to raise $1,000 for each of 7 animal-related charities (listed at right).
LaShelle Lyman, a graduate student at Colorado State University, started the Holy Cow Project after being accepted to CSU’s vet school. Prior to her 1/3 life crisis–the one that prompted her return to school–LaShelle had a whole other life as a high school teacher, National Park ranger, and computer geek.
If she’s lucky, she’ll be done with school by the time she’s 40.
To keep her mind off the daunting task of attending (and paying for) vet school, she decided to do something even more daunting: ask her friends for $7,000 to support animals!
